Bing & Grondahl is a Danish porcelain and ceramics manufacturer currently owned by Royal Copenhagen, a former comptitor of over 125 years. B&G was founded in 1853 as a collaboration between ceramicist Frederik Grondahl, and investors Meyer and Jacob Bing.

The firm survived the early death of Grondahl, eventually earning international acclaim for the quality of its porcelain in the 1890s and into the early 20th C.

The firm became famous for its Christmas plates first introduced in 1895 to unexpected success, and which spawned imitation from other porcelain manufacturers. These plates are among the few remaining items bearing the B&G back stamp today.

The porcelain maker is also well known for its high quality figures which have competed with Ldadro for collectors who like the soft pastels and modern subjects for which each manufacturer is famous.

Bing & Grondahl ceased to be an independent entity in 1987
